1. Introduction
Design Build Concepts (DBC) prides itself on professional communications that respect the
privacy of our customers and visitors. In order to provide you with relevant
information, and protect certain DBC information, we will at times request
personal information from you as you navigate this Web site, and we will offer
you opportunities to join specific e-mail lists. E-mail lists are 100 percent
opt-in.
All e-mail addresses are kept in strict confidence and are used only for
authorized communications. We won't allow others to invade your privacy, either.
We do NOT sell, loan, lease or make our mailing lists available for any
commercial purposes whatsoever. Any unauthorized use of our lists is prohibited,
and all appropriate actions will be taken to prevent unauthorized use.
Please note that DBC provides links to third-party sites that may interest
you. Those sites are not subject to this privacy policy. Please check the
privacy policies of those sites before providing personal information to
them.
2. Types of Information Collection
DBC collects information from visitors in several ways:
- Registration screens and online forms
- In the process of sales inquiries
- In e-mails sent to DBC from clients
- Through automated means such as communications protocols and cookies
DBC may receive data from you as part of the communication connection itself
- the standard electronic greeting between your computer, the network, and our
servers. This information often consists of network routing (where you came
from), equipment information (browser type), date and time. At this time our
server will also query your computer to see if there are "cookies" previously
set by designbuildconcepts.com to facilitate log in or other site navigation
procedures.
Some parts of the DBC site use cookies to collect information about visitors'
use of the Web site and to facilitate return visits. The information collected
from cookies is tracked to enhance security and to improve the functionality of
the Web site by avoiding duplicate data entry, facilitating navigation and
increasing the relevance of content. Cookies on the site may collect the
following information: a unique identifier, user preferences and profile
information used to personalize the content that is shown, and membership
information to access DBC's online communities. Some cookies used by
designbuildconcepts.com may remain on the user's computer after they leave the Web
site to make it easier for you to return to the site without re-entering
identifying information.
While we don't offer an opt-out on the site for cookies, browsers do provide
you with information and control over cookies. You can set your Web browser to
alert you when a cookie is being used. You can also get information on the
duration of the cookie, and to learn what server your information is being
returned to. You then have the opportunity to accept or reject the cookie.
Additionally, you may set your browser to refuse all cookies or accept only
cookies returned to the originating servers. Users may generally disable the
cookie feature on their browser without affecting their ability to use the site,
except in some cases where cookies are used as an essential security feature
necessary for transaction completion. Disabling cookies may make the process of
accessing certain information from the site more lengthy as you will have to
re-enter identifying information each time you wish to access.
3. How Information Is Used
DBC collects information from users for the following purposes:
To engage in transactions or communications. Name, address
and e-mail may be collected and stored as part of the transaction history. The
majority of the information collected under this category is business contact
information.
To provide future service and support. Information collected
for this purpose is both contact information and information related to products
and service/support requested. This information is also used to provide service
and product updates and similar notices.
As a result of information download. Users who download
information may be contacted to confirm they did not experience problems in the
download process. These communications are not subject to the general opt-out of
marketing notices.
To select content. Information may be collected to help
create Web site content and navigation that is most relevant and user friendly.
This includes information collected as a result of site navigation as well as
information provided in forms.
To respond to user inquiries and requests for information.
This information includes registrations for newsletters and specific requests
for further information.
To better tailor marketing to user needs. We may use
information from purchases and requirements to provide you with timely and
pertinent notices of product and service developments that address your needs
and requirements. Marketing notices are subject to the general opt-out
elections.
To better respond to requests for service or quotes for product and
equipment purchase. DBC will pass contact information to the
appropriate DBC account executive for follow-up related to your request.
To provide information on educational events or relevant partner
products. We occasionally co-sponsor events with partners that provide
services of potential benefit to DBC clients. We may provide information on such
events and services to clients that have provided information indicating
interest in the subject matter or service. To help assure respect of your
information, we maintain control of the information or limit the use of the
information by these partners.
As a result of legal requirements. DBC may be required to
provide personally identifiable information to comply with legally mandated
reporting, disclosure or other legal process requirements.
4. Customization, Preferences and Opt-Out
DBC recognizes that visitors may not wish to be contacted about new or
related products. www.designbuildconcepts.com allows you to opt-out of e-mail
marketing that may result from use of the site. These choices may be made as
part of the registration process or from links in marketing mailings. You may at
anytime modify your preferences, including opting out of receiving information
from DBC by sending an e-mail to tina.hall@ibtenterprises.com to
specify your preferences in the body of the message.
5. Profile
DBC is enhancing the Web site with the ability to create a centralized user
profile of information for registered clients. We maintain the information and
allow you to update it at any time. You will be able to review and update this
information each time you access restricted information.
6. Policy Updates
If we are going to use your personally identifiable information in a manner
different from that stated at the time of collection we will notify you via
e-mail. You will have a choice as to whether or not we use your information in
this different manner. In addition, if we make any material changes in our
privacy practices that do not affect user information already stored in our
database, we will post a prominent notice on this Privacy Policy calling out the
change. In some cases where we post the notice we will also e-mail users, who
have opted to receive communications from us, notifying them of the changes in
our privacy practices.
We may update this policy from time to time to describe how new site features
affect our use of your information and to let you know of new control and
preference features that we provide you.
